Menoufia University Witnesses a Qualitative Leap in Student Activities During 2025

Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the university has witnessed remarkable development and a significant leap in the student activities system. A total of 21,172 activities and events were implemented through the General Administration of Student Welfare and the university’s faculties during 2025, within the framework of the university’s vision to develop students’ personalities in an integrated manner—academically, culturally, and physically.

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, affirmed that student activities represent a fundamental pillar of the educational process, given their vital role in developing students’ skills, building their personalities, and strengthening their sense of national belonging. He emphasized the university’s continued support for all student activities and its commitment to providing the necessary resources to expand student participation.

Prof. El-Kased added that these achievements come within the framework of Menoufia University’s strategy aimed at preparing a generation capable of creativity and effective participation in community service, and at building a future that keeps pace with the requirements of comprehensive development.

For his part, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, noted that the strong student turnout reflects their awareness of the importance of student activities in achieving a balance between academic excellence and self-development. He emphasized the university’s keenness to continuously develop programs and events to create a university environment that fosters creativity and excellence.

Sports activities ranked first in terms of participation, recording 4,255 activities, including championships, competitions, and various training courses that contributed to promoting physical fitness and reinforcing the values of fair competition and teamwork among students.

Cultural activities witnessed the implementation of 2,099 activities aimed at raising cultural and intellectual awareness and developing creative skills, while 2,078 artistic activities were organized, including musical, artistic, and theatrical events that helped discover student talents and refine aesthetic appreciation.

In the community domain, the university implemented 2,129 activities under social activities to promote values of belonging, solidarity, and volunteer work, in addition to 3,137 activities in scouting and public service, which focused on developing a sense of responsibility, fieldwork, and community service.

With regard to youth leadership development, 2,057 activities were implemented within leadership preparation programs, while student families and unions recorded active participation through 3,278 activities, supporting teamwork and democratic practice within the university campus.

The university also paid special attention to scientific and technological activities, which reached 2,130 activities, including innovative and modern technological programs that contribute to linking academic study with practical application and keeping pace with scientific and technological advancements. These activities were implemented under the supervision of the General Administration of Student Welfare at the university and Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the Administration.
