Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held an expanded meeting with the Deans of the University’s faculties, in the presence of Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs; Prof. Ghada Hassan, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Mrs. Souad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University. The meeting aimed to follow up on work progress across the University’s faculties and to discuss issues requiring study prior to their presentation to the upcoming University Council meeting.
During the meeting, the University President referred to his recent inspection tours of various faculties to review the conduct of first-semester examination committees, ensure the regularity of the examination process, and confirm full compliance with all rules and procedures governing examinations. He also stressed the importance of faculty members’ presence inside examination halls to respond to students’ inquiries and address any difficulties immediately during exams.
Prof. El-Kased directed that correction and grading processes be completed promptly upon the conclusion of examinations, emphasizing the necessity of announcing results on schedule without delay, while ensuring transparency and adherence to regulations governing examination control processes, in a manner that serves students’ interests and maintains the integrity of the educational process.
The University President underscored the importance of effectively monitoring the implementation of the academic advising system across all faculties, highlighting its pivotal role in providing academic and psychological support to students, assisting them in selecting appropriate courses, and resolving challenges they may encounter throughout their academic journey. He noted that effective academic advising contributes to improving academic achievement, reducing academic underperformance, and enhancing the overall quality of education at the University.
Prof. El-Kased also reviewed reports on faculties that have applied for academic accreditation, affirming the University Administration’s full support throughout all stages of the accreditation process. He stressed the importance of meeting the requirements of the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education through curriculum development, faculty capacity building, and enhancement of infrastructure, laboratories, and lecture halls.
He emphasized that academic accreditation is a cornerstone for improving educational quality, ensuring the graduation of qualified graduates capable of competing in the labor market, and strengthening the University’s standing locally and regionally. He expressed his hope that the conclusion of the “Year of Quality” would witness the accreditation of the largest possible number of faculties.
During the meeting, the University President also reviewed key activities and events conducted recently in the educational, research, and community service fields. He commended the efforts exerted by faculties in organizing various activities that contribute to developing students’ skills and reinforcing the University’s role in serving the community, reaffirming the Administration’s continued support for activities aligned with the state’s strategy and Egypt Vision 2030.
Prof. El-Kased congratulated Menoufia University students who qualified in the “Ibda’a 14” Competition organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and advanced to compete at the national level among Egyptian universities, wishing them continued success and outstanding results.
The University President also highlighted several inspection visits conducted during the month, notably his tours of the outpatient clinics at the University hospitals to monitor work progress, ensure the quality of medical services provided to patients, and emphasize the need to facilitate procedures for patients and their companions.
Additionally, he referred to his inspection visit to the Emergency Pharmacy located on campus within the medical complex, to ensure the regularity of operations, assess the quality of pharmaceutical services provided to hospital visitors, and verify the readiness of the pharmaceutical system and medication dispensing mechanisms to ensure efficiency and prompt service.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. El-Kased expressed his appreciation to the Deans, faculty members, and administrative staff for their continuous efforts to ensure the regularity of the educational and examination processes and to achieve the University’s objectives and mission.
