President of Menoufia University Holds Meeting to Follow Up on the Implementation of the Strategic Plan and Evaluate Performance Indicators

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, convened a meeting with the Committee for Monitoring the Implementation of the Strategic Plan. The committee includes Prof. Saqr Ahmed, Former President of the University; Ms. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary General of the University; Prof. Hatem Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information; Prof. Ekramy Gamal, University Coordinator for Institutional Development and Financial Governance; Ms. Hala Saleh, Assistant Secretary General for Financial Affairs; Prof. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the University Quality Assurance Center; Prof. Rania Azmy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Farhat Abdel-Sayed, Supervisor of the Strategic Studies Center; and Prof. Noha Othman, Deputy Director of the Quality Center.

The meeting was held within the framework of the University’s commitment to ensuring the effective implementation of the strategic plan’s pillars and monitoring performance indicators in a manner that achieves institutional development goals and enhances operational efficiency across all sectors.

During the meeting, the President of the University emphasized that continuous follow-up represents a fundamental element for the success of the strategic plan. He stressed the importance of adhering to the established timelines, periodically measuring achievement rates, and promptly addressing any obstacles that may affect implementation. He noted that strategic planning is not limited to setting objectives, but rather depends on precise monitoring and continuous evaluation to ensure the realization of tangible results.

The meeting reviewed performance reports related to the sectors of education, scientific research, and community service. It also discussed mechanisms for developing monitoring and evaluation systems and updating databases to support decision-making processes. The President directed the preparation of periodic reports outlining implementation rates and performance indicators, contributing to enhanced transparency and improved institutional performance quality.

Additionally, several proposals were discussed regarding the development of implementation mechanisms and the formulation of detailed action plans for the upcoming period. Emphasis was placed on the swift completion of periodic follow-up reports and their submission to the University’s senior administration to enable supportive decisions that reinforce the development trajectory.

Prof. El-Kased underscored the importance of coordination among all sectors, along with updating databases and enhancing monitoring and evaluation systems to ensure sustainable development. He affirmed that the University seeks to achieve a qualitative leap in the quality of educational and research services and to strengthen partnerships with local and international institutions.

He further highlighted the necessity of integrated efforts among faculties and administrative units to guarantee performance quality and achieve the desired development across academic and administrative fields. The President expressed his appreciation to the committee members for their efforts, noting that periodic meetings will continue to ensure effective follow-up in achieving the University’s vision of academic and research excellence, in alignment with the National Strategy for Higher Education and Egypt Vision 2030.
