Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, attended the training program for qualification for leadership positions, organized by the International Center for Faculty and Leadership Development at the university, with the aim of preparing and qualifying professors who wish to apply for leadership roles. This comes as part of the university’s commitment to developing academic and administrative leadership and building cadres capable of keeping pace with institutional development requirements.
The President affirmed that organizing this program aligns with the university’s ongoing plan to support the professional development of faculty members, emphasizing the role of the International Center for Capacity Development in delivering specialized training programs that keep up with the latest trends in university administration and leadership.
In his remarks to the participants, he stressed the university’s strong interest in preparing a second line of leaders equipped with modern managerial skills and strategic vision, noting that university leadership no longer depends solely on academic experience, but also requires a deep understanding of modern management concepts, decision-making abilities, efficient resource management, and teamwork to achieve institutional goals.
Prof. El-Kased explained that such training programs contribute to enhancing the efficiency of faculty members and preparing them to assume leadership responsibilities, which positively impacts performance quality across faculties and administrative units, and strengthens the university’s ability to implement its strategic plans and achieve institutional excellence.

He further highlighted the importance of developing effective communication skills among university leaders.
