Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and in the presence of Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the university received a delegation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education as part of an evaluation visit for the institutional and program accreditation of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences, the Faculty of Early Childhood Education, and the Faculty of Arts.

The visit was attended by Ms. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University, and Prof. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the University’s Quality Assurance Center. The delegation was headed by Dr. Tarek El-Shehtawi, Dr. Abdo Saud, and Dr. Hamed Ammara.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased expressed the university’s appreciation for the vital role played by the Authority in promoting a culture of quality and evaluating academic program performance, as well as granting institutional accreditation to university faculties, contributing to the achievement of Egypt Vision 2030, enhancing graduate outcomes, and supporting sustainable development plans.

He explained that the university is committed to implementing comprehensive quality standards across all academic programs through precise performance evaluation mechanisms, continuous improvement strategies, and training for academic and administrative staff, in alignment with the national strategy for developing higher education in Egypt.

Prof. El-Kased emphasized the university’s commitment to obtaining accreditation for all faculties and programs, highlighting that the delegation’s visit represents an important milestone in the university’s achievements, especially after the accreditation of three other faculties in November—namely the Faculties of Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Agriculture—along with more than seven accredited academic programs.

He added that this progress reflects the distinguished efforts of the University’s Quality Assurance Center, faculty quality coordinators, and reviewers, and their continuous commitment to improving educational outcomes and preparing qualified scientific and research cadres capable of supporting development plans across various sectors.

The President also highlighted the leading role of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences as one of the pioneering faculties in Egyptian universities in this field, offering advanced programs that prepare graduates to compete locally and internationally in digital transformation and artificial intelligence. He further praised the academic and community contributions of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education and the Faculty of Arts in developing human capital and preparing educational and culturally qualified graduates in accordance with the latest scientific trends.

He noted that five faculties at the university currently hold valid institutional accreditation: the Faculties of Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Home Economics, and the National Liver Institute, adding that intensive preparations are underway to host evaluation visits for nine additional faculties during the second semester of the 2025/2026 academic year, as part of the university’s comprehensive plan to achieve institutional and program accreditation for all its faculties.

During the meeting, the university vice presidents presented a comprehensive overview of the achievements of the three faculties, quality implementation mechanisms, accreditation file completion, training programs for academic and administrative staff, efforts to develop the educational and research process, as well as community service contributions and the role of production units and faculty consultancy services in supporting institutional development.

For their part, the delegation members expressed their satisfaction with the visit, praising the efforts of the Quality Assurance Center and the faculties’ commitment to applying quality standards and striving toward the highest levels of institutional and academic performance.

The delegation was accompanied during the visit by Prof. Hatem Mohamed Sayed, Dean of the Faculty of Computer and Information Sciences; Prof. Khaled Ziada, Dean of the Faculty of Arts; and Prof. Enas El-Shteihy, Dean of the Faculty of Early Childhood Education. The reception was also attended by the deputies of the Quality Assurance Center, along with a number of faculty members and administrative staff.
