Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President of Menoufia University for Education and Student Affairs, the students of Menoufia University participated in the governorate's youth delegation in a visit to the giant development projects that are being implemented in Toshka as part of the "See for yourself" initiative.
The initiative comes within the framework of the directives of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to promote the values of loyalty and belonging, and to educate students and youth about the giant national projects that the state has accomplished in the process of building the new republic.
Dr. Ahmed Al-Qased Ali confirmed that the students of Menoufia University are participating in the visit of the governorate’s youth delegation to inspect a number of giant development projects that have taken place and are being carried out in Toshka within the national project for the development of the southern valley in Aswan Governorate, as it is the first youth student delegation at the level of the Delta governorates, stressing the university’s keenness on Organizing scientific, training and cultural trips for students to increase their awareness and enhance their values of loyalty and belonging
The governor of Menoufia indicated that there was coordination between the governorate and Madkour Company to activate the "See for Yourself" initiative launched by the Egyptian Armed Forces and to send a youth delegation and students to learn about the size of the achievements in Toshka and see them on the ground, directing the delegation of the governorate's youth to convey what they saw and touched of the achievements to their friends and families to confirm Their state is on the right track under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic
Major General Tawfiq Sami, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Company for the Reclamation and Cultivation of Desert Lands, held an introductory meeting with the delegation for a number of projects that were inspected during the visit, and a documentary film was shown about the size of the achievements that were implemented in Toshka.
The delegation of the youth of the province also visited the area of the National Company for Land Reclamation and Cultivation, which includes the largest date farm in the world on an area of approximately 12,500 acres, and the farm contains approximately (2.4) million palm trees. The delegation also inspected the harvest area Wheat, and a live experience of the equipment during harvesting, while the pump stations were inspected with a power of 12 automatic pumps working with a capacity of 20 thousand m3 / hour. At the end of the program, a trip was carried out to the archaeological sites in Aswan.
Menoufia University students participated under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration of Student Welfare, and Tarek Kamal Ibrahim, Director of the Leadership Development Department under Youth Sponsorship.
The youth delegation was accompanied during the visit by Major General Imad Youssef, Secretary General of the Governorate, Eng. Osama Madkour, Administrative Director of Madkour Projects Company, Mohamed Moussa, President of the Red Crescent Society, Menoufia Branch, Representative Saber Abdel Qawi, Member of Parliament, and Representative Alaa Tahoun, Member of the Senate.
