Minister of Higher Education and Menofia University President Inaugurate E-Exams Center at the Faculty of Law, Menofia University

This Saturday morning, Prof. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; Prof. Ahmed El-kased, Menofia University President; and Ibrahim Aboleimoon, Menofia Governor, inaugurated the Electronic Exams Center at the Faculty of Law, on Menofia University Aesthetic Studies Campus. The event was attended by Prof. Mustafa Refaat, Secretary of Higher Council of Universities; Dr. Gouda Ghanem, Acting Head of Education Sector and Secretary of Higher Council for Institutes Affairs; and Dr. Adel Abdulghaffar, Media Advisor and the Ministry's official spokesperson; as well as a number of Ministry and University leaders.

During the visit, the Minister witnessed a detailed presentation on the facilities and advanced technologies available at the Electronic Exams Center  at the Faculty of Law. He also inspected its processes while touring its halls.

The Minister held talks with a few officials and students to get their feedback on this project.

Prof. Ayman Ashour stressed the importance of the E-Exams Centers, which aim to achieve justice and transparency in the evaluation processes, in addition to facilitating holding exams for students in different fields. This project also reflects the Ministry's commitment to support Egypt's 2030 Vision in the field of education and digital transformation.

The Minister pointed out that the E-Exams Centers project comes within the Ministry's efforts to enhance the digital transformation and development of universities' technological infrastructure, as E-Exams Centers are equipped with the most advanced technical devices; to cater to students' needs and enhance the quality of electronic exams.

On his part, Prof. Ahmed El-kased pointed out that the E-Exams Center at the Faculty of Law includes 3 halls with the capacity of 1372 computer devices that are already installed, operated, and linked to the University's secured electronic exams network. He confirmed taking the required security and protrction procedures and activating surveillance cameras.

Menofia University President explained the importance of electronic exam centers in spreading the concepts of measurement and evaluation among faculty and students, showing the procedures and processes of building question banks, as well as offering training that aims to enhance faculty abilities in creating question banks. These centers also appraise college performance in applying electronic exams, offer recommendations and suggestions for overcoming general performance shortcomings, devise new programs and work systems related to examinations and measuring and evaluating student academic performance.

Dr. Adel Abdulghaffar, Media Advisor and Ministry official spokesperson, stressed the importance of electronic exams centers in developing the objective student evaluation system, which would then be reflected in enhancing the efficiency and skills of graduates. This would also help achieve the goals of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research, as well as the Ministry's vision in developing the higher education system.

The Ministry spokesperson added that Menofia University has many electronic exams centers, as the first phase of the project included Faculty of Medicine and Faculty of Artificial Intelligence. The second phase includes a number of Faculties such as Faculty of Law, External Clinics Building, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Education, and Faculty of Physical Education. At the completion of the second phase, set at the start of the new academic year 2025/2026, 7404 computer device will have been installed, for the benefit of 81600 students.
