Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, conducted an inspection tour of the University Press to follow up on workflow, review the available capabilities, and assess the Press’s role in supporting the educational process and serving all faculties.
During the tour, accompanied by Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Prof. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President for Education and Students, the University President praised the volume and quality of work carried out by the Press. He commended its distinguished production, which contributes to meeting the faculties’ needs for printed materials and educational resources with high quality and in a timely manner.
Prof. El-Kased affirmed that the University Press is one of the most important production units supporting the academic system, as it plays a vital role in providing faculties and institutes with books, printed materials, and educational content with precision and high quality. He emphasized that the Press is also a significant economic asset that contributes to increasing the University’s self-generated resources through its diverse printing services. He noted that this necessitates working toward transforming the Press into a profit-generating startup company, in addition to its essential role in providing official and examination prints promptly, thereby supporting the smooth functioning of the educational process and ensuring administrative efficiency across the University.
He further explained that the Press also provides printing services for external communities and for several universities and institutions outside Menoufia University.
Prof. El-Kased reiterated the University’s commitment to maximizing the benefit of its self-generated resources, highlighting the importance of developing operational systems within the Press, exploring ways to modernize equipment, and enhancing operational efficiency to increase production capacity. He added that efforts are underway to transform the Press into a major publishing house serving various community sectors, generating substantial returns for the University, and supporting the needs of both the educational and research processes.
The University President was received by Eng. Osama Salah, Director of the University Press, and the Press staff.
