Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, launched the start of the sports league festival for university faculties under his auspices and supervision of Dr. Nancy Asaad, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and organized by the Sports Activity Department of the General Administration of Youth Welfare.
Mubarak addressed a speech to the students participating in the festival, stressing the importance of practicing sports in all its forms and that it should be a lifestyle for students to maintain their health. Honest, morals and sportsmanship.
The President of the University stressed on the importance of taking vaccination against the Corona virus and the speed of heading to vaccination centers in various university faculties, in implementation of the directions of the Egyptian state to preserve public health, warning everyone that no individual who did not take the vaccination would be allowed to be present on the university campus, whether faculty members, workers and students, starting from mid-November. He stressed the importance of students attending lectures and following all necessary preventive and precautionary measures to protect against the spread of the Corona virus, wishing success for the festival’s activities and achieving its goals.
Captain Yasser Jamal, Director of the Sports Activity Department, indicated that the festival is attended by 21 colleges, in addition to the university cities team, with the participation of 1,000 male and female students in group and individual games, which include football, five-a-side football, basketball, handball, volleyball, karate, and judo.
