Dr. Adel Mubarak, President of Menoufia University, received Ambassador Raafat Badran, Consul General of the State of Palestine in Alexandria, Mr. Abdullah El-Saadawi, Deputy Consul General, Mr. Salim El-Talouli, responsible for university affairs and student activities at the Embassy of Palestine in Cairo, in the presence of the two Vice Presidents of the University, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kased for Postgraduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Nancy Asaad For education and students.

Mubarak welcomed the Consul General and his accompanying delegation at the prestigious Menoufia University, the beacon of knowledge in the heart of the Delta, reviewing the university’s establishment since 1976 and the successive efforts of the university’s sons over the years to become a leading university comprising 23 colleges and institutes under the umbrella of a towering edifice with its distinguished services in all fields. For all students at the bachelor's and bachelor's levels, and at the postgraduate level.


The meeting dealt with the talk about Egypt’s leading role in the Palestinian cause throughout the ages, and the efforts of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, including the Egyptian initiative for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, to represent the greatest proof of Egypt’s strong position towards the brothers in the occupied Palestinian territories, and an affirmation of Egypt’s continuing role in Stopping the escalation in the Gaza Strip and achieving the desired calm, in addition to the efforts made by the Egyptian president towards the peace path between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, and ways to continue supporting the Palestinian brothers and providing development support to the rest of the Palestinian territories.

The Consul General extended his thanks and appreciation to the Egyptian state for its efforts and positions in support of Palestine in various regional and international forums. He also thanked Menoufia University for its support for international students from Palestine, the services and facilities provided to students, and their good care at all levels.

The president of the university stressed the interest of the political leadership and His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the President of the Republic, to develop university education and develop the system of expatriates, especially since Egypt possesses the capabilities and scientific cadres to become a regional center that provides educational services to all Arab countries, in addition to expanding the establishment of private universities that offer distinguished educational programs that keep pace with The requirements of the labor market, and work is underway to complete the establishment of the Al-Menoufia National University in Toukh Tanbasha, to be a new achievement for the university.

The President of the University presented a commemorative shield to Ambassador Raafat Badran, Consul General of Palestine.

After the meeting, the delegation headed to the College of Computers and Information to attend the discussion of a PhD thesis for Palestinian student Jumana Yousef Ragheb, Department of Computer Science.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Osama Madani, Dean of Arts and Media Adviser to the President of the University, Dr. Hatem Sayed Ahmed, Dean of Computers and Information, Dr. Salwa Fouad, General Coordinator of Expatriates at the University, and Dr. Mohamed Adel, Expatriate Coordinator at the Faculty of Computers and Information.
