Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, went to the governorate’s general office to meet with Major General Ibrahim Abulimon, Governor of Menoufia, accompanied by some members of the university students’ team (Menofia Racing Team), which won first place in the national initiative for green projects at the governorate level, in the context of supporting the team during its participation in the competition ( Formula Student) held in England to represent Egypt, the governorate and the university in the competition, in which a large number of universities from all over the world participate.

The President of the University thanked the Governor of Menoufia for his constant support to the university and its students at various levels, appreciating the efforts made by the two parties to enhance various means of cooperation, and the effective contribution to implementing development plans and upgrading the services provided to citizens throughout the governorate, indicating that the Faculty of Engineering team participated three times in the competition and won the center Seventh in the world in 2014. He also participated in the (Ever Egypt) competition and won third place last year at the level of Egyptian universities. The team represents Menoufia University this year in England. He submitted to the governor a request for financial support to participate in the competition in England. Businessman Mahmoud Samy was contacted. Who provided financial support in the amount of (5) thousand dollars to the team as a first stage until reaching the final stage in London

For his part, the Governor of Menoufia stressed his full support for the Menoufia University team and overcoming obstacles in front of them to achieve their ambitions and win advanced positions, expressing his happiness at representing Menoufia internationally as the governorate is a pioneer and pioneer in various fields, sending a message of thanks to his children because they are future scholars and an honorable role model to follow, stressing the continued support from Before the governorate, the university and the businessman in case of passing the first stage and reaching the final stage.

It is worth noting that the team manufactures electric cars and consists of 100 male and female students from the faculties of engineering, electronic engineering, computers and information. The team aims to provide a work environment for students that works to develop their innovative and scientific capabilities and talents.
