Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received Dr. Eng. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Major General Ibrahim Abulimon, Governor of Menoufia, at the headquarters of the Egypt Digital Creativity Centers "Critiva" Menoufia branch, as part of the visit of the Minister of Communications to Menoufia Governorate to inaugurate and inspect a number of technological and postal projects and decent life projects in the governorate.

The Minister, the Governor, and the President of the University met with those responsible for the centers, in the presence of Dr. Heba Saleh, Head of the Information Technology Institute and the supervisor of the Egypt Centers for Digital Creativity, and the visiting guests, to review the activities of the centers and the digital institutional development efforts of the Menoufia Governorate, present the vision, targets, and work axes that are being implemented, and review the activities of a dignified digital life. Ashmoun and Martyrs Centers and future areas of cooperation to complete the digital institutional development work. Success stories and bright pictures of some graduates of the centers and the Institute of Information Technology were presented, where a number of graduates gave an overview of their work and the successes they achieved because of the courses they joined. for students who are present.


During the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, delivered a speech in which he welcomed Dr. Eng. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, and Major General Ibrahim Abulimon, Governor of Menoufia, stressing that Egypt is witnessing a developmental movement since the announcement of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which corresponds to the strategy of Menoufia University 2030 and the variables and developments that the state faces on the at the local, regional and international levels, which represents a major challenge for the university that requires double effort and an insight into the future.

The university is moving forward in its strategic direction towards participating in building digital Egypt, as it has worked to enhance and develop information and communication technology to connect all its institutes and various units and integrate them digitally and expand the provision of services to ensure a high level of performance, stressing the importance of digital transformation for modern Egypt, whose pages are being rewritten. Its future is in the hands of his leadership, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and in an era when technology has become an integral part of our daily lives.

The President of the University indicated that the Egyptian government and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology launched the initiative of the Egypt Digital Innovation Centers project in its second generation in cooperation with Egyptian universities. Six government universities were chosen to embrace the digital creativity centers. Menoufia University was their first and had the honor of opening the first center of this generation to serve The youth of the governorate and neighboring governorates, which reflects the important role of the university and the state in encouraging creativity and entrepreneurship among members of society.

Menoufia University is characterized by the presence of (4) technological faculties (engineering, electronic engineering, computers and information, artificial intelligence) with a large number of scientific cadres in the field of technology. The number of beneficiaries so far from the students of Menoufia University, through training and professional consultations in the faculties, is about 6225 beneficiaries from many tracks, the most distinguished of which are the tracks of artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.

At the end of his speech, the President of the University thanked the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, who bears the burden of implementing the development of the technological and information infrastructure and the development and implementation of the digital transformation initiative of the Egyptian government. Development and progress for Egypt under its wise leadership, His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic.

The Governor of Menoufia also gave a welcoming speech to the Minister, the President of the University and all the guests of the visit, referring to what happened during the day of the opening of many technological projects in the governorate and inspecting post offices and activities of a decent life, stressing that the Egyptian state is moving steadily towards the era of digital transformation in implementation of the directives of the political leadership within the framework of the establishment of the Republic. New projects, enhancing local and foreign investment opportunities, creating a safe competitive environment to serve the achievement of the desired goals of the current stage, and ensuring a decent life for all segments of Egyptian society.

He concluded his speech by expressing thanks and gratitude for all the sincere efforts made by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in order to move to a new phase of digital transformation, praising the real boom that the Egyptian postal sector is witnessing in the field of providing financial, community and postal services, in addition to the ongoing initiatives to train and qualify specialized cadres and all employees. in the administrative apparatus.

At the end of the meeting, Dr. Eng. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness at his presence in the Menoufia Governorate, which witnessed the establishment of Egypt Digital Creativity Centers, which comes as a result of joint cooperation between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the university, within the framework of the ministry's plan to spread Egypt's digital creativity centers in all across the Republic to build youth capacities and support technological innovation and entrepreneurship.

Dr. Amr Talaat explained that programs and projects are being implemented to prepare digital cadres and qualify them to compete in the labor market through training programs provided by the National Telecommunications Institute and the Information Technology Institute. Pointing out that programs are being implemented to build the capacities of workers in the state’s administrative apparatus, in implementation of the Egyptian state’s strategy that focuses on accelerating digital transformation in all government sectors, eradicating digital illiteracy, building digital capabilities, and promoting digital innovation, and a number of giant national digital transformation projects are being implemented. In cooperation with many sectors ranging from the digital comprehensive health insurance system, to cooperation with universities in establishing digital learning management systems and digitizing cultural content in Egypt.


The Minister, the Governor, and the President of the University exchanged commemorative shields, conducted an inspection tour of the center, inspected the training courses in the classrooms, and looked at the volume of work in the center and the number of trainees, as the training budget and training programs were doubled to allow the opportunity to train the largest number of young cadres at the level of all centers.
