Menoufia University hosts the United Nations Food Organization (FAO) for a better life

Menoufia University, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, and under the supervision and presence of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Ayman Hafez, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, hosted a delegation from the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), with the aim of providing support and awareness to university students.
The Vice President of the University expressed his happiness at the presence of the members of the FAO delegation, led by Professor Rawia Al-Dabi, the organization’s public relations officer, deputy president of the FAO, pointing out the importance of supporting the bonds of cooperation and working to develop smart and developmental projects in order to create a generation capable of keeping pace with global development and research. Scientific research in entrepreneurship and qualification for the agricultural labor market through the establishment of various programs related to agriculture, in addition to the establishment of various integrated programs to explain the basics of scientific research and competitions for scientific research that help students to transform their ideas and projects into emerging companies that support the national and global economy and achieve Egypt’s Vision 2030.
The symposium discussed the importance of agriculture as the source of food security, our foundation, and our fuel, as livestock and industrial production are built on agriculture, directing students to the importance of having life skills through which they can organize their ideas to accomplish development and economic projects.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Khaled Qanbir, Vice Dean of the College of Agriculture for Education and Student Affairs, and Ms. Rawya Al-Dabi lectured on behalf of the President of the FAO, and Dr. Wael Omran, Head of the Lands Department at the College of Agriculture. A group of FAO members, university faculty members, and university male and female students also participated in the event.
