The Menoufia Medical University convoy signed medical examinations for 1,500 patients in North Sinai Governorate

Menoufia University organized an integrated medical convoy in North Sinai Governorate in the period from September 19, which ended its activities today in the cities of Nakhl and Al-Hassanah. Medical examinations were conducted on 1,500 patients in various medical specialties, under the patronage of Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, and Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University. Major General Mohamed Shousha, Governor of North Sinai, and under the supervision of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of Menoufia University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

The convoy activities came in cooperation between Menoufia University, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Second Field Army, and the Resala Charitable Association. The convoy included 12 specialized clinics, a medical analysis laboratory, a distribution of medical glasses, a hospital specializing in ophthalmology, and a specialized dental center. 200 food cartons were also distributed to the most needy families. All medicines were distributed free of charge and a number of sick cases were transferred to the nearest university hospitals. Patients receive treatment at state expense.

The convoy activities were organized and implemented by Dr. Farid Wagdy, General Supervisor of Convoys at the University, Vice Dean of the College of Medical Sciences for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaaban, Coordinator of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Al-Nomani, Dean of the College of Medicine, Dr. Rania Azmi, Vice Dean of the College for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and Hamdi Abd. Al-Rahman, Director General of Community Service and Environmental Development, and Hossam Abu Al-Naga, Director of the University’s Convoy Department. A large number of doctors participated from the College of Medicine in the specialties of eyes, heart, general surgery, urology, children, bones, nose, ear, gynecology, obstetrics, dermatology, and chest.
