Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held the regular meeting of the University Council in the presence of Dr. Ahmed Zaki Badr, former Minister of Local Development and a member of the Council from abroad, and the Vice Presidents of the University, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bary for Education and Students, Dr. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of the University, and the deans of the faculties.
The President of the University began the meeting by extending his congratulations to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and to the Egyptian people on the occasion of the New Year, wishing that this year would be full of goodness, progress and prosperity and bring with it more successes and achievements at all levels.
He also extended special congratulations to the Menoufia University family, including faculty members, employees and students, on this occasion, hoping to God that this year would be full of giving and success, and that the journey towards excellence and leadership would continue.
The Council approved in its session today the establishment of Menoufia University Medical Services Company as the first start-up company at the university and the start of taking the necessary procedures and executive steps to establish the company, which will provide medical, pharmaceutical, laboratory and radiology services, which is the first of the university's companies that will be established. The university president stressed that establishing a start-up company at the university contributes greatly to enhancing innovation and entrepreneurship among students and faculty members, and provides a platform for transforming ideas and research into realistic projects that meet the needs of the market and society. Establishing a start-up company within the university also enhances the role of the university as a driver of positive change, and works to enable students and society to face challenges and achieve sustainable development in light of Egypt's Vision 2030 and the President's directives and great interest in enhancing entrepreneurship and innovation within Egyptian universities, realizing the importance of this field in supporting the national economy and building the capabilities of young people. This trend also reflects the vision of the political leadership towards transforming universities into centers for innovation and sustainable development.
