Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the session of the University Facilities Committee for January 2025 in the presence of committee members Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary-General of the University, Souad Bayoumi, Head of the Central Administration of the University President's Office, Ashraf Al-Nattat, Assistant Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Ayman Abdel Hamid, Engineering Advisor to the President of the University, Director of the Engineering Consulting Center, Deans of the concerned faculties, Heads of the Civil and Architectural Engineering Departments at the Faculty of Engineering, and General Managers of Engineering Affairs, Maintenance, Financial and Legal Affairs, Planning, Follow-up and Needs.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased welcomed the committee members, praising the teamwork to advance the university, stressing the need to combine efforts and develop a clear plan and vision to quickly complete projects and make the best use of the university's resources, and to develop a mechanism for follow-up and implementation that ensures achieving satisfactory results with the highest quality and managing projects in an institutional manner. To control performance and speed up completion, he pointed out his keenness to hold meetings with those in charge of the university's projects and the implementing companies to complete the required credits and speed up the implementation of the projects.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that the committee reviewed the report of the General Administration of Engineering Affairs on the executive status of the projects currently being worked on and included in the university's plan, the percentage of completion in each project, and its financial status. The committee also reviewed the executive status of maintenance work in the colleges and various university units, as well as replacement, development and restoration work.
During the meeting, the university president discussed with the committee members the implementation status of the ongoing projects, including completing the elevation of the entrance to the Faculty of Medicine and the general site, and the elevation of the emergency hospital, completing the building of the Faculty of Dentistry and its outpatient clinics, the central library at the Faculty of Pharmacy and the lecture halls, and the lecture hall buildings in some faculties and the multi-purpose halls building in Education, and maintaining the technical institute for nursing. Developing the university's administrative building and developing the general site of the theoretical complex.
El-Kased added that the committee discussed the proposal of the Oncology Institute expansion building and assigning the university's Engineering Consulting Center to design the general site and a traffic study for the new medical complex after adding the new land in preparation for the establishment of the new medical city and the expansions of the medical complex.
The university president also discussed with the committee members the necessary procedures to immediately start building a fence for the university land in Sadat City on an area of 200 acres.
