Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, visited Benha University and was received by Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy, President of Benha University, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed El-Ashhab, Dean of Benha Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mohamed Daabes, Head of the Surgery Departments at Benha Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Atef Abdel-Ghani, Professor of General Surgery, Dr. Gamal Omeira, former Director of the National Oncology Institute, Dr. Tarek Ibrahim, Professor of Surgery at the National Liver Institute at Menoufia University, and Secretary of the Egyptian Surgeons Association.

The meeting discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two universities, and mechanisms for that through various activities and events through which greater intellectual and cultural exchange can be achieved between students and faculty members.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that during the meeting, aspects of cooperation were discussed, and a number of topics and files of common interest were discussed, as well as the possibility of concluding cooperation protocols in many fields, including research, education, and community service, in order to activate the role of regional alliances of Egyptian universities and the Delta Region Universities Alliance, in implementation of the presidential initiative "Alliance and Development", which enjoys the support and patronage of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and in line with achieving the goals of the National Strategy for Higher Education and achieving Egypt's Vision 2030.

For his part, Dr. Nasser El-Gizawy expressed his happiness with the visit of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University and Professor of Oncology Surgery, to participate in the activities of the Scientific Day for Surgery Departments, stressing his keenness to cooperate with Menoufia University in achieving comprehensive development for society and advancing scientific research.

It is worth noting that many cooperation protocols have been signed between Benha and Menoufia Universities, the latest of which is a cooperation protocol between Benha University and Menoufia University in the field of exchanging expertise in the field of measurement, evaluation, and examination systems.

During the meeting, shields were exchanged between the two sides.
