Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired a meeting of the Graduate Studies Council with the participation of deans and vice deans of colleges for graduate studies and members of the committee "online" and the presence of Doaa Fahmy, Director General of Cultural Relations and Mohamed Zidan, Director General of the General Administration of Graduate Studies.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased congratulated the Egyptian people, students and university staff on the approaching celebration of the night of the middle of Shaaban and the approaching advent of the holy month of Ramadan, praying to God to perpetuate the blessing of security and safety on Egypt under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased pointed out that the session addressed topics related to the work of the General Administration of Graduate Studies and Cultural Relations, and the committee approved the minutes of the previous session and followed up on the decisions that were implemented. During the meeting, the annual and semi-annual reports of some graduate students registered for master's and doctoral degrees for the previous and current academic year were reviewed, in addition to reviewing the scientific reports submitted by members of scientific missions and scientific reports submitted by faculty members at the university about their attendance at conferences inside and outside the university at Egyptian, Arab and foreign universities. During the committee, Dr. Ahmed Al-Qassed followed up on the progress of the university and colleges' plan in the field of scientific research and postgraduate studies in the university's colleges and institutes, stressing the need to overcome the obstacles facing researchers and postgraduate students, solve the problems of those who are struggling, and follow up on student files.
El-Kased stressed the need to complete the February 2025 registration cycles and prepare the study plans for the second semester and send them for review and approval. He also stressed the need to complete the review of the results of the first semester exams, and the need to submit proposals to amend and add any new items to the materials of the work guide in the postgraduate studies sector within two weeks and present them in the next session.
The university president indicated that 170 scientific research papers were registered for faculty members at the university and published in international journals during the month of January, in addition to registering 153 scientific theses to obtain master's and doctoral degrees in the university's colleges and institutes, including (100) male and female students for the master's degree and (53) male and female students for the doctoral degree, stressing the importance of scientific research and international publishing and the need to visit published research and encourage joint scientific research that can be applied to serve society and achieve the goals of the state and sustainable development
