Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, inspected the development and construction work at the medical complex, as part of the university's keenness to provide advanced and integrated medical services to patients and visitors to university hospitals, in addition to providing training opportunities for students of the Faculties of Medicine and Dentistry and health service providers. He was accompanied by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. They were received by Dr. Mohamed El-Nomani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Chairman of the Board of Directors of University Hospitals, Dr. Mohamed Sabry, Executive Director of University Hospitals, Dr. Ayman Abdel Hamid, Engineering Advisor to the President of the University, and Eng. Rabab El-Daly, Director General of Engineering Affairs.
The President of the University made an extensive field tour of the medical complex and university hospitals to follow up on the new constructions and updates.
During his tour, the university president inspected the expansion site of the Oncology Institute, where the design consulting offices and companies have been qualified to implement the building, in addition to inspecting the site of the Specialized Surgery Hospital project on the land of the Medical City, which will be built on an area of 10 acres after taking the necessary measures to purchase 5 new acres.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also inspected the final preparations for the new outpatient clinic building at the Faculty of Medicine in preparation for its opening and entry into service soon. It consists of 5 floors and includes 56 clinics that will be equipped with the latest devices according to medical standards and quality standards with the aim of providing a dedicated place for visitors to outpatient clinics away from the emergency hospital in order to provide all medical specialties for patients. He also inspected the analysis laboratory, CT and regular scan rooms, endoscopy and audiology units in the building, in addition to the places where the presidential initiatives for the health sector were implemented, which were launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, to improve health and treatment care for citizens.
El-Kased also inspected the measurement and evaluation centers, outpatient clinics, and classrooms designated for the Oncology Institute in the building.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also inspected the outpatient clinics of the Faculty of Dentistry on the ground floor, where the installation and operation of 34 clinics equipped with dental chairs were completed, and he followed up on the completion of the finishing works of the general site and the painting of the facades and entrances. Al-Qassed followed up on the development works of the main entrance to the Faculty of Medicine, and the procedures for supplying and installing two additional elevators for the faculty, in addition to following up on the work of the 24 Emergency Pharmacy.
