Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the Faculty of Sport Sciences football team achieved a new sporting accomplishment by winning the Delta Universities Regional Alliance Championship, which was hosted by the Faculty of Sport Sciences at Tanta University, amid strong participation and highly competitive matches.

The Menoufia University team participated under the supervision of Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Emad El-Sarsy, Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Noha El-Sawaf, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs. Team coaching was led by Prof. Ahmed Saher, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, while administrative supervision was provided by Mr. Ibrahim Amer.

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, praised the team’s achievement in securing first place, affirming that this victory reflects the continuous development of the University’s sports activity system and highlights the students’ outstanding abilities and strong competitive spirit.

He added that the University places great emphasis on supporting and nurturing athletic talent by providing an integrated training environment that enables students to represent the University in a manner befitting its prestigious standing.

The University President also emphasized that this achievement is clear evidence of the ability of Menoufia University students to compete strongly at various regional and national events, extending his congratulations to the winning students and the staff of the Faculty of Sport Sciences.

Menoufia University secured first place and the gold medals, followed by Tanta University in second place, and Kafr El-Sheikh University in third place.

The winning team consisted of the following students:
Ismail Reda Ismail, Yassin El-Sayed Issa, Karim Yasser Sleima, Ziad Ahmed Tamraz, Mohamed Wael Selim, Adel Sherif, Mohy Mohamed Mohy, and Ahmed Hossam Mahrous.

This victory represents a new addition to the record of achievements of the Faculty of Sport Sciences and further reinforces Menoufia University’s prominent position on the university sports scene.
