El-Kased Chairs Meeting of the Quality Assurance Center at Menoufia University and Reviews Colleges’ Readiness for Institutional and Program Accreditation

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired a meeting of the Quality Assurance and Institutional and Program Accreditation Center across the University’s faculties to follow up on the latest developments in the accreditation files of faculties applying for institutional and program accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education (NAQAAE). The meeting was attended by Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ghada Hassan, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Mrs. Souad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University; and Prof. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the Quality Assurance Center.

At the outset of the meeting, Prof. El-Kased extended his sincere thanks to the Quality Assurance teams at both the University and faculty levels, commending the considerable efforts exerted in preparing accreditation files and praising the strong sense of commitment and enthusiasm demonstrated by faculty members and administrative staff. He affirmed that Menoufia University has adopted the slogan “2025… The Year of Quality” in pursuit of a qualitative leap in the university education system.

The University President, who also supervises the Quality Assurance Center, reviewed the executive status of faculties applying for institutional accreditation, which are preparing to receive evaluation visits from NAQAAE teams in the coming period. He discussed the alignment of faculty files with quality assurance standards and the extent to which they meet the requirements for applying for institutional accreditation at Egyptian universities.

Prof. El-Kased also reviewed the progress of accreditation applications submitted by several faculties, including:
Early Childhood Education, Mass Communication, Commerce, Education, Specific Education, Computers and Information, Arts, Science, and Health Sciences.
He emphasized that the University is working toward obtaining both institutional and international accreditation, thereby enhancing the competitiveness of its graduates in local and global labor markets.

He further stressed the importance of activating Graduate Units and developing their operational mechanisms to ensure effective support for university graduates, affirming that Menoufia University seeks to become a leading model in graduate qualification, employment, and linkage with labor market needs.

The University President noted that Menoufia University graduates demonstrate a high level of distinction and competence, which has qualified them to assume prestigious positions both inside and outside Egypt. This, he stated, reflects the quality of the educational process and training programs offered by the University.

Prof. El-Kased presented a set of procedural and innovative solutions to overcome any challenges facing faculties during the preparation of accreditation files, emphasizing the need to expedite their completion ahead of the official application opening announced by NAQAAE. He also discussed the representation of the Quality Assurance Center in committees emanating from the University Council.

He underscored the vital role of faculty members in implementing academic standards and quality requirements within faculties, continuing to spread a culture of quality and awareness among students and staff, activating the role of internal reviewers at the Center, and expanding the pool of qualified personnel in evaluation and continuous improvement.

The University President stressed the importance of setting clear timelines to complete the requirements for institutional accreditation, affirming that the University will provide all forms of technical and administrative support to faculties to ensure Menoufia University’s full readiness to apply for governmental institutional accreditation.

The meeting was attended by Prof. Zeinab Abdel-Khalek, Professor of Civil Engineering and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering; Prof. Alaa El-Din El-Beltagy, Professor at the Faculty of Agriculture; and Dr. Noha Osman, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Arts, in their capacities as Deputy Directors of the Quality Assurance Center, in addition to Ms. Asmaa Refaat, Administrative Director of the Center and Secretary of the Committee.
