Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired an expanded meeting of the organizing committee for the University’s 49th anniversary celebration, attended by the University Vice Presidents Prof. Sobhy Sharaf and Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Mrs. Souad Bayoumi, Secretary-General of the University, assistant secretaries, and the committee members responsible for event organization.

During the meeting, Prof. El-Kased reviewed the latest updates on the preparation plan, noting that the celebration will take place over two days: Wednesday, 24 December, and Monday, 29 December, in the Grand Hall of the Theoretical Complex of Faculties.

He emphasized that “the 49th anniversary celebration is not merely an annual occasion, but an important milestone to reflect on decades of dedication and reaffirm the University’s commitment to education, scientific research, and community service.” He added that the preparations for this event honor the efforts of the University staff who have shaped its history, serve as a motivation for continued development and innovation, and highlight the University’s position locally and internationally, while showcasing its human resources, research capabilities, and societal impact.

The University President stated that this year’s celebration will have a distinct institutional character, including a comprehensive presentation of the University’s achievements over the past year, honoring the top-performing faculties, distinguished faculty members and staff, recipients of national awards, retirees, and faculty and staff who have passed away.

The ceremony will also include recognition of the faculty with the highest scientific output, faculty members with the highest international publications and patents, the best scientific theses, and administrative staff who have obtained a PhD in their respective fields related to their work.

Prof. El-Kased stressed the importance of collaboration among all University departments and the involvement of students in organizing the event, to ensure the celebration reflects the University’s identity and leadership.

He concluded the meeting by affirming that honoring excellence and recognizing contributions is an integral part of Menoufia University’s culture, expressing his wishes for continued progress and prosperity for the University in its new year.
