President of Menoufia University and President of Pharos University Sign Cooperation Protocol to Enhance Academic Collaboration, Student and Faculty Exchange, and Joint Scientific Research

Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received Prof. Mahmoud Mohy El-Din, President of Pharos University, along with his accompanying delegation, in the presence of Menoufia University’s Vice Presidents: Dr. Sobhi Sharaf for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Ghada Hassan for Graduate Studies and Research. The Pharos University delegation included Dr. Mohamed Atman, Vice President, Dr. Mohamed Ragab, Secretary General, and Dr. Osama Madany, Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Translation.

Prof. El-Kased welcomed the guests, expressing his appreciation for the visit, which reflects the spirit of mutual respect and collaboration between the two universities. He emphasized that Menoufia University always welcomes partnerships that support its educational, research, and community service missions. Both sides reviewed the history and development trajectories of their universities, along with introductions to their faculties and academic programs, covering a wide range of scientific, medical, engineering, and humanities disciplines.

The two parties also discussed each university’s strategic plan, highlighting future visions aimed at developing educational processes, scientific research, and expanding community services.

Prof. El-Kased emphasized that this cooperation represents an important step toward strengthening academic relations and developing joint programs that benefit students and researchers.

Prof. Mahmoud Mohy El-Din expressed his pleasure at signing the protocol, praising Menoufia University’s academic and research capabilities, and confirmed that the new partnership will open broader avenues for cooperation and joint development between the two universities.

The attendees highlighted the importance of this partnership as a significant step toward enhancing higher education quality, supporting innovation and scientific research, and preparing highly qualified graduates capable of serving society and contributing to Egypt’s Vision 2030 for sustainable development.

Prof. El-Kased and Prof. Mohy El-Din signed a joint cooperation protocol aiming to:

  • Strengthen academic and research collaboration between the universities.

  • Exchange expertise across various scientific fields.

  • Facilitate faculty exchange programs to benefit from the universities’ distinguished academic experience.

  • Enable student exchanges for short- or long-term study periods, participation in courses, educational programs, or extracurricular activities to enhance academic and practical skills.

  • Conduct joint scientific research projects and support innovation and entrepreneurship initiatives.

The protocol also includes collaboration in organizing conferences and workshops, developing educational programs, and exchanging expertise in quality assurance and academic accreditation systems, contributing to improved educational efficiency and strengthening the universities’ standing in local and international rankings.

The signing ceremony concluded with an affirmation of continued communication between both parties to develop a clear implementation plan for the agreement, ensuring the achievement of shared objectives and maximizing the scientific and research benefits for both universities.
