The Central “Students for Egypt” Family at Menoufia University Organizes an Educational Visit to the Cairo International Book Fair to Promote Cultural and Intellectual Awareness

The Central Students for Egypt Family at Menoufia University organized a field visit to the Cairo International Book Fair, under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs. The visit was held with the participation of Prof. Mohamed Zidan, Dean of the Faculty of Specific Education and Family Advisor; Prof. Rania Hamed and Prof. Nourhan Moussa, Assistant Advisors of the Central Family; Prof. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration of Youth Welfare; student Omar Ibrahim (Faculty of Veterinary Medicine), Family Coordinator; and student Ahmed Ezz (Faculty of Law), Assistant Coordinator.
This comes within the framework of the University’s commitment to supporting purposeful student activities, developing students’ cultural and intellectual awareness, and enhancing their role in building a well-rounded personality.

The visit was attended by a large number of university students, who explored the latest intellectual, scientific, and cultural publications across various fields. They also became acquainted with Egyptian and Arab publishing houses and participated in the accompanying cultural events and seminars, contributing to the expansion of their knowledge horizons and the development of their cognitive skills.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, affirmed that students’ participation in such major cultural events is part of the University’s strategy to build culturally aware and intellectually conscious students capable of positive engagement with societal issues. He noted that the Cairo International Book Fair is one of the most important cultural platforms in the region, offering students a valuable opportunity to explore diverse intellectual and scientific trends.

He added that the University places great importance on supporting student activities and student families, including the Students for Egypt Family, for their effective role in strengthening national belonging and promoting positive values among young people.

For his part, Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President for Education and Students Affairs, explained that the visit comes within the plan of the Education and Students Affairs Sector to organize a variety of cultural and awareness-raising activities that contribute to refining students’ skills and developing their intellectual abilities. He emphasized the University’s keenness to provide an integrated educational environment that combines academic achievement with cultural engagement.

He also pointed out that the strong turnout of students reflects their awareness of the importance of culture and knowledge, as well as the role of reading in building character and enhancing critical thinking.

Prof. Mohamed Zidan, Advisor of the Central Students for Egypt Family at Menoufia University, stated that the visit aimed to provide students with the opportunity for direct interaction with the cultural and intellectual dimensions of the Cairo International Book Fair. He noted that the Family is always keen to organize educational events that raise students’ awareness and strengthen their positive role both within and beyond the University.

He concluded by affirming that the visit achieved remarkable student engagement and encouraged reading and exploration, expressing his appreciation for the continuous support provided by the University administration for all student activities.
