President of Menoufia University Receives the Vice Governor and the President of the Information Technology Institute to Discuss Supporting the Business Incubator and Technology Entrepreneurship

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received Mr. Mohamed Moussa, Vice Governor of Menoufia, and Prof. Heba Saleh, President of the Information Technology Institute (ITI), in the presence of Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bary, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Ghada Ali, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Prof. Saqr Ahmed, Former President of the University; Prof. Mohamed Wahdan, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Prof. Shawky, Former Dean of the Faculty; and Prof. Omnia Nour, Director of the Digital Egypt Innovation Center “Creativa” in Menoufia.

The University President welcomed the guests on the sidelines of the First Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Commerce. The meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the University and the Institute, in addition to exploring further ways to support partnership with the Digital Egypt Innovation Centers (Creativa), within the framework of the state’s orientation toward enhancing digital transformation and building youth capacities.

During the meeting, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased emphasized Menoufia University’s keenness to expand areas of cooperation with the Information Technology Institute, considering it one of the most important national pillars for qualifying young cadres for the digital labor market. He noted that the University seeks to integrate specialized training programs within the educational system, contributing to the preparation of graduates with advanced technological skills aligned with the requirements of the New Republic.

The University President also discussed mechanisms for joint cooperation, particularly in light of the University’s establishment of a Business Incubator aimed at supporting innovative ideas and emerging technological projects for students and graduates. He stressed that integration with the Information Technology Institute and Creativa will contribute to providing technical, training, and advisory support for projects hosted by the incubator, transforming them into successful and competitive models in the labor market, thereby promoting a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation within the University.

He added that cooperation with Creativa represents an important opportunity to support innovation and entrepreneurship among University students by providing creative spaces and offering training programs in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, software development, and digital entrepreneurship, enhancing young people’s ability to launch technology-based startups.

For his part, the Vice Governor praised the vital role played by Menoufia University in serving the community and environmental development, affirming the Governorate’s full support for all initiatives aimed at developing youth skills and linking them to the labor market, particularly in modern technological fields.

Prof. Heba Saleh, President of the Information Technology Institute, expressed the Institute’s aspiration to strengthen cooperation with the University through the implementation of joint training programs, the organization of specialized workshops, and the provision of practical training opportunities for students, contributing to the preparation of a generation capable of competing regionally and internationally in the information technology sector.

The meeting also witnessed discussions of several practical proposals to activate cooperation during the coming phase, in support of the state’s vision of building a knowledge- and innovation-based economy, and reinforcing the University’s role as a key driver of sustainable development in the region.
