Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, extended sincere congratulations to H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and to Prof. Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research and Head of the Egyptian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture, on the renewal of Egypt’s presidency of the General Conference of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) for a new term by unanimous approval of member states.

This announcement was made during the fifteenth session of the General Conference of ICESCO, held in Kazan, Republic of Tatarstan.

The University President affirmed that this unanimous decision reflects Egypt’s distinguished position within Islamic and international organizations, and demonstrates the strong confidence in Egypt’s leading role—under the leadership of President El-Sisi—in supporting education, culture, and science, as well as enhancing cooperation among member states in line with sustainable development goals and human development.

He further stated that the renewal of Egypt’s presidency of the ICESCO General Conference represents international recognition of the country’s efforts over the past four years in promoting joint Islamic action, strengthening scientific and cultural partnerships, and opening new horizons for cooperation in education, research, and innovation.

Prof. El-Kased also praised the effective role played by the Egyptian National Commission for Education, Science and Culture in coordination and follow-up, which contributed to strengthening Egypt’s presence within the organization and reinforcing its regional and international standing. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the efficiency and capability of Egyptian institutions in managing international responsibilities with competence and distinction.

He concluded that the continued international confidence in Egypt enhances opportunities for academic and scientific cooperation with international institutions and supports the efforts of Egyptian universities to further develop higher education and scientific research systems, in line with the vision of the “New Republic” and the state’s strategy for building a knowledge-based society.
