Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the meeting of the University Facilities Committee for the month of March 2024, in the presence of committee members, Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Hazem Saleh, Vice President of the University for Postgraduate Studies and Research, Dr. Ayman Abdel Hamid, Engineering Advisor to the University President, and Director The Engineering Consultation Center, the relevant deans of colleges, assistant secretaries, and general directors of engineering affairs, maintenance, finance, legal, planning, follow-up, and needs.


Dr. Ahmed El-Kased began the meeting by congratulating the members of the committee, the employees of the university, and the Islamic nation on the month of Ramadan, and the anniversary of the tenth of Ramadan, praying to God to accept everyone’s good deeds and to maintain security and safety in Egypt and its people.


The University President also congratulated Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari on the issuance of the presidential decree appointing him as Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs. He also congratulated the head of the central administration, Souad Bayoumi, the assistant secretaries, Ashraf Al-Natat and Amal Al-Najjar, and the new general directors from the members of the committee, wishing them success in performing their work duties. .


Dr. Ahmed El-Kased indicated that the committee reviewed the report of the General Administration of Engineering Affairs on the executive position of the projects currently being implemented and included in the university’s plan, the percentage of completion in each project, and its financial position.


During the meeting, the university president discussed with the members of the committee the executive position of the projects being worked on, including completing the elevation of the entrance to the College of Medicine and the public site, the elevation of the emergency hospital, the outpatient clinics building, the completion of the College of Dentistry building and its outpatient clinics, the central library in the College of Pharmacy, the amphitheaters, and some amphitheater buildings. Colleges and the building of multi-purpose halls for education, and maintenance of the Technical Institute for Nursing.


The committee also reviewed the executive position of maintenance work in the colleges and various university units and replacement, development and renovation works.


The university president also reviewed the executive position of Menoufia National University and the rate of completion so far, the work of the medical city, and the transfer of assets and ownership of the university’s land in Sadat City, an area of 200 acres.


El-Kased also followed the work of the committee to follow up on the documentation of all university properties within the governorate and outside it, stressing the importance of documenting and inventorying the university’s properties to preserve their assets.
