President of Menoufia University chairs the Quality Assurance meeting to follow up on the progress of work in colleges applying for institutional accreditation 2025

Today, Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the Quality Assurance and Periodic Accreditation meeting at the university to discuss developments in the progress of work in the files of colleges applying for institutional accreditation for the university for the current academic year 2025 and discuss ways to apply the approved standards to qualify approximately 60% of the university's colleges, in the presence of Dr. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Wafaa Zahran, Director of the Quality Assurance Center, Dr. Ikrami Gamal, Secretary-General of the University, Dr. Zainab Abdel-Khaleq, Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Noha Othman, Assistant Professor in the Department of Libraries at the Faculty of Arts, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance Center at the University, and Asmaa Raafat, Administrative Director of the Quality Assurance Center.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University and Supervisor of the Quality Assurance Center, discussed the status of the colleges applying for institutional accreditation and their application of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Authority standards and the extent to which the application files meet the university's institutional accreditation for Egyptian universities next July according to the amended 2022 standards and in accordance with the conditions of the Quality Assurance Authority.

The President of the University also discussed the developments that have occurred in the colleges that have obtained programmatic accreditation and the plans submitted to accredit more programs required by the local and international labor market, and reviewed innovative and possible solutions to overcome any obstacles to obtaining institutional accreditation for Menoufia University.

El-Kased urged the importance of attending training courses for faculty members and the possibility of implementing them in the Quality Assurance Center on an ongoing basis to ensure the highest application of the quality standard in the colleges, as well as increasing the activation of the Quality Assurance Center's training courses for reviewers from employees, spreading the culture of quality and forming a broad base of faculty members and auxiliary staff and applying quality standards to their full capacity within the university and working in light of internationally advanced standards and empowering workers with the highest institutional quality standard at the university.

The university president called for more follow-up of the colleges that have obtained accreditation periodically and to examine the quality of the files according to the quality and accreditation standards and to study the planning standards for higher education institutions and the methodology for developing the strategic plan and the preparation stages such as the environmental procedure for the institution and its importance in setting the goals and objectives of the institution after studying the gap between the current situation and what the institution aspires to, and stressed the importance and follow-up of developing an executive plan to achieve the strategic goals and setting achievement indicators and how to follow up on the implementation of that plan and overcome all difficulties and ways to transform the strategic goals and objectives into activities.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also called on the supervisors of the Quality Assurance Center to hold a number of periodic meetings for those in charge of quality files in the colleges and submit periodic reports on the current status of accreditation files and follow up on the steps required by the accreditation body and also continuous follow-up to activate graduate units and activate academic guidance within the colleges and apply an integrated standard for Menoufia University to obtain institutional accreditation for Egyptian universities and declare 2025 the year of quality at the university.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also called on the faculties preparing the application files for programmatic accreditation to set timetables to complete the application of the criteria for applying for institutional accreditation during the current academic year. He said that the university will support all faculties with all its energy in submitting institutional accreditation files to the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation so that Menoufia University can obtain governmental institutional accreditation next July for the current academic year 2025, which contributes to the qualitative transfer of Menoufia University on the map of higher education locally and internationally.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased also discussed the mechanism for automating the work of the Quality Assurance Center at the university by creating an interactive electronic platform for the required work steps to obtain programmatic and institutional accreditation and measuring the required performance indicator for application files and submitting complete reports to the advanced faculties on the applications of the Quality Assurance Authority standards and benefiting from the experiences of faculties that have obtained programmatic accreditation.

El-Kased explained that the university pays great attention to increasing the dissemination of continuous awareness of quality standards and the quality of education in order to achieve noticeable development and improvement in the educational process through the continuous development of curricula and the development of the capabilities of faculty members and assistants, stressing that the Quality Assurance Center will hold a monthly meeting to study all the difficulties and obstacles that hinder the submission of programmatic and institutional accreditation files in the university’s colleges and develop solutions to overcome them.
