Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the July meeting of the University Council in the presence of Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, as well as the deans of the faculties.

During the meeting, the University President announced the approval of Prof. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, to establish “Al-Buraq Company for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Consulting,” to be fully owned by Menoufia University. This represents a new step reflecting the University’s commitment to investing in knowledge and innovation, strengthening its role in supporting digital transformation, and providing consulting and technological services in accordance with the latest standards.

The University President emphasized that the establishment of the company comes within the framework of the University’s strategy to maximize the utilization of the scientific and research expertise of its faculty members and link research outputs to the needs of society and the labor market. The company will provide specialized solutions and consultancy services in digital transformation and artificial intelligence, supporting the state’s efforts to build a digital economy and achieve the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased explained that Al-Buraq Company will provide advanced services and consultancy to governmental and private institutions, implement digital transformation projects, develop artificial intelligence applications, prepare technical studies, and provide specialized training programs. These activities will strengthen Menoufia University’s developmental and economic role, enhance its competitiveness and innovation capabilities, and reinforce its position as a leading university institution in producing knowledge and utilizing it to serve society.

The University President noted that the establishment of Al-Buraq Company is part of the University’s strategy to expand the establishment of University-owned companies, thereby maximizing the benefit of its scientific and research capabilities and strengthening its self-generated resources. He explained that the University had previously established Menoufia University Medical Services Company to provide specialized healthcare and consultancy services and is currently finalizing the legal and regulatory procedures for establishing Menoufia University Educational Services Company.

This comes within an integrated vision for establishing specialized entities that provide professional services in the medical, educational, and technological fields, contribute to linking academic expertise with development and labor market needs, and strengthen the University’s role in supporting a knowledge- and innovation-based economy.

Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, expressed his pleasure at achieving this important milestone, which coincides with the University’s Golden Jubilee celebrations marking 50 years since its establishment. He affirmed that establishing “Al-Buraq Company for Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence Consulting” represents a qualitative addition to the University’s innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem and reflects its commitment to supporting the digital economy and maximizing the benefit of its scientific and research expertise in modern technology fields.

He added that the establishment of the company is in line with the Egyptian state’s vision for digital transformation and building a knowledge society, while enhancing Menoufia University’s position as a leading institution in innovation and sustainable development.

The President of Menoufia University also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to H.E. the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research for his continued and tangible support for the University, affirming that this ongoing support represents a key pillar in advancing the educational and research system at the University.
