Today, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received a visit from the technical support of the Ministry of Higher Education to receive and deliver the international accreditation project for the central laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture to qualify it for international accreditation according to the specifications of "ISO/IEC17025" and prepare it to receive the EGAC visit, in the presence of Dr. Osama Saqr, Director of Qualifying Laboratories for International Accreditation at the Project Development Management Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education, Dr. Farhat Saad, Consultant at the Higher Education Development Management Unit, Dr. Ahmed Al-Kholi, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, and Dr. Haitham Maimoun, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, confirmed that the university has completed all international standards and specifications for the Central Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture project at the Project Development Management Unit at the Ministry of Higher Education in order to qualify it for international accreditation in May 2025.
He explained that this comes in light of the tireless work carried out by the university to develop strategic and research plans to qualify and accredit the largest possible number of research laboratories at the university.
The university president also stressed that Menoufia University is working with all its scientific, research and educational capabilities in all faculties to qualify the university for institutional accreditation 2025 and consider it the year of quality and accreditation so that the university occupies a prestigious position among distinguished research universities regionally and internationally and achieves advanced positions and rankings in many international classifications. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also pointed out that the delegation recently visited the laboratories of the Faculties of Agriculture and Pharmacy early this year to follow up on what has been accomplished in the project "Rehabilitation of the Central Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture and a Laboratory for Analyzing Drugs and Pharmaceutical Preparations at the Faculty of Pharmacy" and to follow up on the international accreditation file. Pointing out that the College of Agriculture laboratory includes more than 30 modern laboratory devices in the field of fertilizers, lands and dairy, and will also provide services to researchers, graduate students, farms and industrial projects in the analysis of heavy elements and nutrients in addition to complete soil analysis, plant analysis, water and food analysis using modern and advanced devices such as the "Atomic" device, the "Ransimite" device, the "Nanodrop" device, EC measuring devices and the PH device. The technical support team in higher education visited the College of Pharmacy laboratory "for the analysis of drugs and pharmaceutical preparations" to follow up on the developments and equipment necessary for international accreditation standards and conformity with international specifications for device specifications and the experience of the human cadres based on the laboratory and completing the specifications and quality standards for the laboratory in preparation for receiving it and qualifying it for international accreditation, which will provide distinguished research services to pharmaceutical companies and researchers in the field of pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical products, which comes within the framework of ensuring the quality and obtaining institutional accreditation for the coming year 2025 and the uniqueness of the university laboratories in providing the best agricultural and pharmaceutical product that conforms to the approved international specifications. The visit was attended by Dr. Al-Husseini Abdel Ghaffar, Executive Director of the Central Laboratory Project at the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Ahmed Abdel Qawi, former Director of the Quality Unit at the Faculty of Agriculture, Dr. Mohamed Bassiouni, Faculty of Agriculture, Benha University, and Dr. Amr Kamal, Executive Director of the Pharmaceutical Preparations Laboratory Project at the Faculty of Pharmacy.
