Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, honored today the participants and winners of the Best University for Student Activities Competition for the academic year 2024/2025, in which the University secured second place (Silver Category) among Egyptian universities.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Ghada Ali Hassan, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research; Ms. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary General of the University; in addition to deans and vice deans for education and student affairs, and directors of Student Welfare Departments at both the general administration and faculty levels.
Prof. El-Kased expressed his great pride in the University’s achievement, congratulating the deans and vice deans who participated in the thirteen evaluation criteria, the coordinators from directors and specialists of Student Welfare Departments, and the distinguished students who excelled in various student activities during the academic year 2024/2025 and the first semester of 2025/2026. He wished the Education and Student Affairs Sector continued success and further first-place achievements in the coming phase. He also extended his appreciation to all participants and award winners who have raised the name of Menoufia University in local and international forums across various student and academic activities.
The President emphasized that these results reflect the efforts of the Supreme Council of Universities in consolidating a culture of student activities as an integral component of the educational process. He stressed the importance of continuing to support students and providing a motivating environment that enables them to showcase their talents and potential. He noted that the University’s distinguished participation through the Student Activities Platform of the Supreme Council of Universities highlights the excellence of the Education and Student Affairs Sector in developing students’ capabilities and shaping well-rounded, aware youth.
He pointed out that the University’s activities stood out among more than 40,000 diverse activities carried out by 48 Egyptian universities during the competition period. These activities spanned sports, cultural, artistic, social, scientific, and technological fields, in addition to family, student union, scouting, and public service activities.
Prof. El-Kased further explained that participation in student activities enhances students’ educational and intellectual skills, motivating them to achieve higher levels of academic excellence.
For his part, Prof. Nasser Abdel Bari congratulated all participants who achieved advanced positions in student activities, which qualified the University to win second place (Silver Category) in the competition launched by the Supreme Council of Universities via the Student Activities Platform. He affirmed the vital role of student activities in supporting, developing, and refining students’ skills and encouraging academic distinction.
He also praised the efforts of deans, vice deans, and competition coordinators for their exceptional dedication to nurturing student talents, encouraging creativity and innovation, and actively participating in presidential initiatives aimed at developing the Egyptian citizen—particularly youth skill development within universities and building a new generation of community leaders.
The Vice President stated that the ceremony represents well-deserved recognition of the continuous efforts made by the University to advance the educational process and develop aspects that contribute to shaping students’ personalities and building future leaders. He emphasized that this achievement reflects the quality and diversity of student activities implemented throughout the academic year.
During the ceremony, the President and Vice Presidents honored participating deans, vice deans for education and student affairs, and directors of Student Welfare Departments with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their outstanding efforts. Members of the Higher Technical Committee, chaired by the Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, criteria coordinators, faculty teams, and officials of the Environmental Excellence Competition at the General Administration of Student Welfare were also recognized.
The event further included honoring outstanding student teams in scouting and public service activities, individual sports competitions, and athletics for students with special needs. Winners of the Talent Festival, the Ideal Male and Female Student Competition, students achieving advanced positions in cultural activities, first-place winners in scientific activities, participants in the “Ibdaa 14” competition, and the Scientific Forum for Innovation and Sustainable Development were also recognized during the academic year 2024/2025 and the first semester of 2025/2026.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, the President and Vice Presidents joined the winning and participating student teams for commemorative photos alongside criteria coordinators and Student Welfare officials, in appreciation of their efforts in achieving distinguished and honorable positions for the University. The ceremony was presented by Dr. Doaa El-Shaer, competition coordinator and Lecturer of Curriculum and Teaching Methods at the Faculty of Education.
