Menoufia University Students Attend the Inauguration of the State Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital; University President Affirms Building National Awareness as a Top Priority Media Department 10/07/2026 Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced that a delegation of the University's students attended part of the inauguration ceremony of the State Strategic Command Headquarters in the New Administrative Capital, in the presence of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, senior state officials, cabinet ministers, and leaders of the Armed Forces. The visit was organized by the Popular and Military Defense Forces Command, in cooperation with the University's Military Education Department and the Leadership Development Department of the General Administration of Student Welfare, as part of the University's commitment to strengthening students' national awareness and connecting them with Egypt's national development projects and state institutions. The visit was held under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, under the supervision of Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development and Supervisor of the Education and Student Affairs Sector, and in coordination with Colonel Taha Salah Matr, Director of the University's Military Education Department. Prof. El-Kased emphasized that students' participation in such national events reflects the University's role in preparing a generation that is fully aware of the significant achievements taking place across Egypt. He stressed that these visits foster values of patriotism and national belonging by giving students the opportunity to learn about the latest strategic leadership and management systems and to gain firsthand insight into the advanced capabilities the Egyptian state possesses across various sectors. The University President added that Menoufia University adopts a comprehensive vision for developing students both academically and nationally, enabling them to better understand contemporary challenges while strengthening their sense of belonging and appreciation for the efforts devoted to building the New Republic. He affirmed that the University will continue organizing educational and training visits in cooperation with various state institutions to further develop students' skills and national awareness. For his part, Colonel Taha Salah Matr stated that what the students witnessed during the visit reflected the high level of professionalism and readiness of Egypt's state institutions. He noted that such visits play an important role in raising national awareness among university students and introducing them to the state's advanced capabilities in safeguarding national security and stability. The inauguration ceremony began with a recitation from the Holy Qur'an, followed by an address delivered by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt. The event also featured a comprehensive demonstration of the state's capabilities in crisis and disaster management, showcasing specialized equipment and technologies designed to respond to various emergency scenarios, including counterterrorism operations, public health emergencies, natural and industrial disasters, as well as search and rescue and medical evacuation operations. The demonstrations highlighted the high level of readiness, coordination, and integration among the state's institutions. In his address during the ceremony, H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi emphasized that the capabilities presented represent only part of the state's preparedness to confront various crises. He stressed the importance of continuous training, simulation exercises, and maintaining the necessary equipment and qualified personnel to ensure rapid and efficient emergency response. The State Strategic Command Headquarters is regarded as one of Egypt's most prominent modern national projects, serving as an integrated center for supporting strategic-level crisis and disaster management. It reflects the state's vision of strengthening institutional preparedness while enhancing coordination and integration among its various agencies. The University delegation included 50 male and female students, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration of Student Welfare, and Osama Deif, Director of the Leadership Development Department. The delegation was accompanied by Dr. Shaimaa Mohsen Atta from the Faculty of Specific Education and Yasser Mohamed Negm from the Leadership Development Department. The participating students expressed their pride and appreciation for taking part in this national visit, noting that it provided them with a valuable opportunity to learn more about the capabilities of the Egyptian state, strengthened their sense of patriotism and national belonging, and deepened their appreciation for the vital role of the Egyptian Armed Forces in protecting the nation and safeguarding its achievements.
