Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, received a high-level delegation from the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies to discuss ways of supporting and strengthening academic and professional cooperation between the two sides. This meeting comes within the framework of the University’s orientation toward expanding and developing professional postgraduate programs in line with labor market requirements.
The meeting was attended by Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development. The delegation included Prof. Mohamed Abdel Aziz Khalifa, Dean of the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies. From the University side, the meeting was attended by Prof. Mohamed Wahdan, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce; Prof. Mohamed Zidan, Coordinator of Professional Programs at the Faculty of Commerce; and Saeed Ghoneimy, Coordinator of Professional Programs at the Institute.
Prof. El-Kased affirmed that Menoufia University is keen to expand its partnerships with specialized educational institutions in a way that enhances the exchange of academic expertise, links academic programs to the actual needs of various professions, and contributes to achieving the goals of sustainable development.
The President of the University explained that higher education is witnessing rapid transformations that necessitate the integration of academic knowledge with practical skills, noting that cooperation with the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies comes within the framework of preparing qualified cadres capable of competing in the labor market and strengthening the University’s societal role.
Prof. El-Kased added that the meeting addressed several proposed areas of cooperation, most notably the development of joint professional postgraduate programs, including professional master’s and professional doctorate degrees, as well as studying the introduction of new programs in the fields of management, marketing, accounting and auditing, information systems, finance, economics, and insurance, in line with local and regional market needs.
Both sides also discussed mechanisms for exchanging academic expertise through joint supervision of theses, organizing joint scientific events, and exploring ways of cooperation in attracting international students from Arab countries within the framework of the presidential initiative “Study in Egypt.”
The meeting further addressed cooperation in the preparation and implementation of short- and medium-term training and qualification programs aimed at enhancing the efficiency of employees in the public and private sectors and developing their applied skills.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the delegation of the Higher Institute for Cooperative and Administrative Studies expressed its pride in cooperating with Menoufia University, praising its distinguished academic standing and affirming its commitment to translating the outcomes of the meeting into practical partnerships that serve the educational and research process and keep pace with current stage requirements.
