Menoufia University, under the patronage of Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, University President, achieved advanced positions in the competitions and events of the 13th Egyptian Universities Youth Week, which was hosted by Helwan University during the period from September 7 to 14.
The university president pointed out that the university students represented the university honorably and achieved advanced results, explaining that the university teams participated effectively in “sporting, traveling, public service, social, cultural, artistic, scientific and technological activities.”
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased announced that the university achieved first place in the mobile and public service competitions, which are “the field of scientific and environmental applications, the field of arts and literature, the field of economics and citizenship, the field of aspiration for leadership, scouting traditions and arts, life skills, carnival, public service and community development.” “Scouting traditions and arts, Scouting values and trends, health and sports.”
The university also achieved the third level in the field of religion for life.
These levels were achieved by the students Antoun Emad Nazih, Ahmed Khaled El Gendy, Ahmed Ali Abdel Halim, Abdel Moneim Hamed Abdel Moneim, Ziad Imad Tahoun, Marwan Mohamed Shalabi, Mohamed Ali Al-Shibiny, Ammar Yasser Mohamed, Mona Mohamed Ibrahim, Safaa Ahmed Ibrahim, Iman Azmi Muhammad, Aya Muhammad Al-Amin, Marcel Sabry Mitri, Manar Hamada Saeed.
In sports activity, student Mohamed Fathi Abdel Fattah achieved the first level as the best goalkeeper.
In social activity, student Muhammad Rizq Bala’ah achieved third place in the chess competition (individual).
As for cultural activity, student Iman Abdel Mardi Ibrahim achieved second place in the competition for memorizing and reciting the Holy Quran.
In the artistic activity, student Tuqa Hassan Farahat achieved first place in the field of non-specialized drawing.
Student Riyad Nasr Al-Sayed also achieved third place in the field of specialized sculpture.
The student: Doaa Sabri Abdel Samie got third place in the field of specialized graphics.
While the student Ayat Sobhi Ahmed got third place in the field of non-specialized graphics.
The university also advanced in scientific and technological activity, as the students Omnia Saad Eid al-Fattah, Nourhan al-Sayyid Niazi, and Ahmed Sami Abdel-Qawi achieved first place in the information league.
The announcement of the results witnessed the honoring of Dr. Walid Hussein Talaat, Director of the Mobile and Public Service Department, among the best activity department managers of the week.
The university participated in the activities of the 13th Egyptian Universities Youth Week at Helwan University among 40 Egyptian universities with a delegation consisting of 158 students and supervisors. The university delegation was headed by Dr. Naeem Mohamed Fawzi Salama, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education, and supervised by Dr. Mohamed Jamil Shaheen, Director General of the General Administration for Student Welfare.
The activities were supervised by the directors of the relevant departments of the General Administration for Student Welfare, Yasser Jamal, Director of the Sports Activity Department, Dr. Walid Talaat, Director of the Mobile and Public Service Department, Muhammad Khattab, Director of the Social Activity Department, Ayman Abdel Qawi, Director of the Cultural Activity Department, Mervat Arafa, Director of the Scientific and Technological Activity Department, And Dr. Fathallah Al-Shouri, in addition to the activity supervisors and trainers.
