Today, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, and Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, conducted a field tour of the university hospitals to follow up on the latest developments in new constructions and the extent of developments in the performance of health services in order to advance the system and raise the level of medical quality provided to patients to ease the burden on citizens.

They were accompanied by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of the University, Dr. Mohamed El-Naamani, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Fotouh, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Mohamed Sabry, Executive Director of University Hospitals and Hospital Directors. The University President and the Governor also inspected the Pathology Laboratory, which is a modern laboratory, fully equipped with the latest technologies and equipped with an immunostaining device, as it is the latest device that helps in diagnosing multiple diseases by analyzing tissue samples, whether by surgery or CT needles and ultrasound, to reach an accurate diagnosis of the disease. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, stressed that Menoufia University is striving to equip the university hospital and all medical units with the latest technical and medical technologies to serve citizens in Menoufia Governorate and neighboring governorates and receive critical cases in all medical specialties, pointing out the university's keenness to provide the emergency hospital with the latest CT scan devices in the reception department of the emergency hospital to quickly diagnose and treat medical cases.
The President of the University also explained that the new cardiac catheterization device that was added to the university hospitals is multi-use and is the Azurion 7 M20 model, which is the latest device of its kind according to the latest technologies and is used in rapid and emergency treatment of heart attacks and strokes, in addition to imaging peripheral arteries and diagnosing and treating cerebral strokes.
The President of the University pointed out that Menoufia University hospitals provide advanced medical services within the governorate and some residents of neighboring governorates with a bed capacity of (980) beds with an occupancy rate of 100% throughout the year, and that this number of beds is currently inappropriate for the population of the governorate, which is approximately 4.7 million people. Therefore, starting immediately to establish the Medical City at Menoufia University will bring about a major breakthrough in providing healthcare, research and educational services in the governorate.

For his part, Major General Ibrahim Abuleimon confirmed his full support for Menoufia University and providing the necessary facilities based on its educational role, societal mission and pioneering role as an effective partner in the governorate's development plans, as it is a distinguished educational institution in the Delta, noting that he is closely following the comprehensive development taking place at the university and its hospitals, and its remarkable progress in international classifications.

The Governor of Menoufia praised the level of construction and new equipment witnessed by the university hospitals to develop medical, therapeutic and research services, which reflects the great interest that the Egyptian state pays to improving the level of medical services provided to patients and maximizing the components of its infrastructure to build the Egyptian person and improve the quality of services to the best and in a comprehensive manner within the state's plan to achieve sustainable development goals to provide a decent life.
The university president also praised the pioneering role of the governor of Menoufia in maximizing the governorate's resources and implementing many tangible infrastructure and investment projects on the ground in all service and development sectors under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, expressing his appreciation for his efforts and keenness on permanent and fruitful cooperation with the university and providing support to it at various levels.
