Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the university launched today the "New Beginning to Build the Human" initiative to develop the Egyptian citizen within the 2030 Sustainable Development Plan in cooperation with the Menoufia Endowments Directorate, which was launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in September 2024, and will continue for 100 days in various governorates of the Republic, under the supervision of Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Khaled Hamza, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, and His Eminence Dr. Asem El-Qabisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Menoufia.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of the University, confirmed that the "New Beginning to Build the Human" initiative is one of the most important series of presidential initiatives launched by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, which aims to build the Egyptian person in all different sectors, support human development methods for all Egyptian families, spread health and cultural awareness among citizens, and enhance the skills required by the labor market.

The President of the University also pointed out the support of the University Menoufia University is fully committed to implementing the initiative's axes, which revolve around achieving Egypt's Vision 2030 and the sustainable development program in health, education, culture and sports on the ground through the integrated convoys launched by the university's sectors and faculties for the cities and villages of Menoufia Governorate, neighboring governorates and remote areas, with Menoufia University's scientific, research, cultural, educational and medical components that have enabled it to implement sustainable development policies and axes. And graduate students capable of overcoming challenges and meeting the requirements of sustainable Egyptian development at the economic, social and cultural levels. Pointing to the achievements made by Menoufia University in the Decent Life Initiative through the integrated convoys, which addressed important and diverse issues, including issues of cultural and educational awareness, literacy, and providing medical services to eliminate hepatitis, health and educational care convoys for Egyptian families, and many other presidential initiatives to develop and build the Egyptian citizen. Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service Affairs, also pointed out that Menoufia University has begun preparing a number of integrated convoys aimed at building the Egyptian person, which was called for by the "Bidaya" initiative, most notably developing the cultural awareness of Egyptian families through fruitful cooperation with the imams and scholars of the Endowments Directorate in Menoufia, which comes within the activities of the existing protocol between the university and the directorate on developing the cultural and religious awareness of university students and citizens through seminars, workshops and integrated university convoys, stressing the vital role that the university will play in promoting health and reducing child mortality through programs dedicated to improving early health care, improving skills and increasing efficiency among young people and developing their skills in line with the needs of the labor market, and developing and enhancing community participation within the framework of preserving the values, ethics and principles that represent the original Egyptian identity. As Dr. Khaled Hamza, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, explained, our Egyptian society is going through very important developmental stages that require attention to all its wealth, resources and human capabilities, stressing that the human element represents one of the main resources that directly contribute to achieving development, and it is also its desired goal, as it represents the strategic goal in sustainable development to improve the quality of life of the Egyptian citizen. He also stressed the importance of intensifying investment in people and proceeding to implement its major development projects in the sectors of education, health, housing and utilities. He also pointed out that the President's initiative "A New Beginning to Build the Egyptian Human" aims to invest in human capital through a work program targeting human development and working to coordinate the Egyptian identity by enhancing efforts, coordination and integration through all state institutions in the various regions of the Republic, which is fully consistent with the Egyptian state's strategy for sustainable development in the role of Egypt's Vision 3020. His Eminence Dr. Asim Al-Qubaisi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Endowments in Menoufia, called on scholars and imams of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif and the Endowments Directorate to make every effort to educate Egyptian citizens and families about Islamic values, principles of religious awareness and the guidance of the Noble Sunnah that the "Mustafa, may God's prayers and blessings be upon him" called for in building a conscious nation and building it and establishing the principles of ethics and values ​​brought by Islam, which are intended to build the human being with all its meaning. His Eminence also stressed the importance of working to achieve the axes of the "New Beginning for Human Development" initiative to achieve its goals and enhance sustainable development paths, which included developing healthcare, increasing hospital construction, increasing factories, industrial and agricultural production, and developing infrastructure projects. He also stressed that the role of Al-Azhar scholars goes hand in hand with development in building the human being, which is an important development requirement.

On the sidelines of the launch of the initiative, a number of educational lectures were given on building the righteous Egyptian family, in which Dr. Jihan Sweidan from the Faculty of Home Economics spoke, and a lecture on our beautiful values ​​and authentic morals was given by Dr. Wissam Balabel from the Faculty of Arts. Dr. Reda Abdel Fattah also spoke about building the Egyptian character, while Dr. Hanan Hanout from the Faculty of Medicine discussed building health awareness for the Egyptian citizen. The event was attended by a large number of scholars and imams from the Awqaf Directorate and deans of Al-Azhar University in Menoufia.
