President of Menoufia University holds an online meeting of the Graduate Studies Council

Dr. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, chaired the meeting of the Graduate Studies Council with the participation of deans and vice deans of colleges for graduate studies and members of the online committee, in the presence of Souad Bayoumi, Head of the Central Administration of the University President's Office, Doaa Fahmy, Director General of Cultural Relations, and Mohamed Zidan, Director General of the General Administration of Graduate Studies

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased welcomed the congratulations to the members of the committee and congratulated Dr. Zainab Abdel Khaleq for the issuance of the President of the University's decision to assume the position of Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering for Graduate Studies.

Dr. Ahmed El-Kased followed up during the committee the progress of the university and colleges' plan in the field of scientific research and graduate studies in the university's colleges and institutes, stressing the need to overcome the obstacles facing researchers and graduate students and solve the problems of those who are struggling, and follow up on students' files.
The envoy stressed the need to complete the first semester registration courses, providing all the requirements for the progress and success of the educational process, and the need to adhere to the approved study plan, in addition to submitting scientific clearances according to a specific period presented to the college councils. The university president pointed out that 153 scientific researches were registered for faculty members in the colleges, including 22 individual researches and 131 joint researches during the month of October, in addition to registering 114 scientific theses to obtain master's and doctorate degrees in the university's colleges and institutes, including 78 male and female students for master's degrees and 35 male and female students for doctorate degrees, stressing the importance of scientific research and international publishing and the need to visit published research and encourage joint scientific research that can be applied to serve society and achieve the goals of the state and sustainable development. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased added that the session addressed topics related to the work of the General Administration of Graduate Studies and Cultural Relations, and the committee approved the minutes of the previous session and followed up on the decisions that were implemented. During the meeting, the annual and semi-annual reports of some graduate students registered for master’s and doctoral degrees for the previous and current academic year were reviewed, in addition to reviewing the scientific reports submitted by members of scientific missions and scientific reports submitted by faculty members at the university about their attendance at conferences inside and outside the university at Egyptian, Arab and foreign universities.
