Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, held a monthly meeting of the Deans Council at the Faculty of Pharmacy to follow up on the various activities and events of the university, in addition to preparing and studying the topics that need to be studied before presenting them to the University Council in its next monthly meeting.
This was attended by Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Nasser Abdel Bari, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ekramy Gamal, Secretary General of the University, and the deans of the university's faculties and institutes.
At the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Ahmed El-Kased congratulated His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, and the police on the upcoming celebration of Police Day and the anniversary of the January 25 Revolution. He also congratulated the Christian brothers on Christmas, and here are the members of the committee and university staff on the occasion of the upcoming celebration of the Night of Isra and Miraj.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also congratulated the staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy on obtaining institutional accreditation from the National Authority for Quality Assurance and Accreditation of Education.
El-Kased expressed his happiness with the achievements of the university and its arrival to a prestigious position among Egyptian universities, pointing out that the state and the Ministry of Higher Education support the university's efforts and various activities, adding that Menoufia University seeks to achieve more achievements and expansions in activities and facilities by completing the medical city project and establishing an integrated medical complex, and establishing an extension of Menoufia University in Sadat City, stressing that the university has developed a vision for exploiting the university's land in Sadat City that won the admiration of Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education, explaining that the minister supports all university projects and protocols concluded by the university to activate regional alliances for Egyptian universities. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased reviewed some of the activities that took place in the university sectors during the month of January, congratulating Dr. Ayman Hafez Issa, former Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, for his selection as Secretary of the Agricultural Studies Sector Committee at the Supreme Council of Universities, wishing him continued success. He also thanked the Adult Education Center and all the faculties participating in the National Literacy and Adult Education Project for their success in eradicating illiteracy for 6,042 male and female citizens during the October 2024 session. Thus, the university has succeeded in eradicating illiteracy for 96,153 citizens since 2014 in various villages and centers of Menoufia Governorate and outside the governorate.
The envoy pointed out that he is following up on the progress of the first semester exams and visiting a number of the university's faculties to confirm the implementation of exam rules and regulations and the absence of any obstacles facing students and to ensure the regular presence of faculty members, assistants and supervisors in their places.
The university president also pointed out that he received Major General Hisham Al-Sudani, Advisor to the Prime Minister for National Projects, as part of field visits to follow up on projects and discuss ways of cooperation and support to complete the implementation of university projects.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased referred to his visit to Cairo University to sign a cooperation protocol between the Oncology Institute at Menoufia University and the National Cancer Institute at Cairo University, in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Sami Abdel Sadek, President of Cairo University, which will be the beginning of many cooperation protocols. He also referred to the signing of a cooperation protocol between the National Liver Institute and the Theodor Bilharz Institute in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Abbas Shamis, Director of the Theodor Bilharz Research Institute and Chairman of the Board of Directors, with the aim of making the best use of the training and research capabilities available to both parties. Al-Qassid noted that the university delegation visited Sadat City University and discussed various aspects of cooperation with Dr. Shaden Moawia, President of the University, then visited Al-Riyada University for Science and Technology in Sadat City and met with Dr. Reda Hegazy, President of the University, and Hossam Mabrouk, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, to discuss ways of joint cooperation, in addition to visiting the headquarters of the Sadat City Development Authority and meeting with Eng. Islam El-Fishawy, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Sadat City, to discuss ways of enhancing cooperation to serve the development of scientific research and serve the industrial community. Al-Qassid added that he met with Major General Ibrahim Abu Limon, Governor of Menoufia, at the headquarters of the General Diwan of the Governorate, within the framework of mutual visits to discuss ways of joint cooperation to advance the governorate and provide the necessary support to the university to carry out its pivotal role in serving the community. The University President pointed out to participating in the activities of the workshop organized by the University's Research Innovation Office in cooperation with the Integrated Scientific Group ARIAS Egypt in the industrial zone of Sadat City, in the presence of industrialists. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased expressed his happiness to participate in the inspection tour of the Rafah crossing conducted by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, at the head of a high-level delegation that included Dr. Khaled Megawer, Governor of North Sinai, and the presidents of the universities of Arish, Cairo, Ain Shams, and Suez Canal, the Secretary-General of the Supreme Council of Universities, and members of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, to ensure the crossing’s readiness to receive the wounded and injured from the Gaza Strip and to provide all forms of support to the brothers in Gaza after reaching a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, in addition to participating in the expanded meeting held by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research with the medical staff of the university hospitals at the headquarters of the Faculty of Medicine at Arish University, in the presence of Dr. Omar Sharif, Secretary of the Supreme Council of University Hospitals, and Dr. Ahmed Anani, the Minister’s Advisor for Health Policies, stressing the full readiness of Menoufia University Hospitals to receive the injured from the Gaza Strip and to declare a state of maximum emergency in preparation for receiving cases. The President of the University also directed the provision of places in the university cities to accommodate the companions of the injured.
