Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, visited the Governorate Headquarters to extend his congratulations to Major General Amr El-Gharib on assuming the position of Governor of Menoufia. He was accompanied by Prof. Sobhy Sharaf, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Prof. Nasser Abdel-Bari, Vice President for Education and Students; Prof. Ghada Ali, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Ms. Soad Bayoumi, University Secretary General, wishing him success in serving the people of the governorate.
Prof. El-Kased expressed his great pleasure in meeting the new Governor, praising the political leadership’s confidence in appointing him to this vital position. He noted that this trust reflects the State’s appreciation of the Governor’s competence and experience, affirming the University’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the Governorate and supporting initiatives and projects that serve the local community and promote sustainable development.
He further emphasized the University’s dedication to enhancing partnership with the Governorate’s executive leadership and supporting initiatives aimed at serving citizens and developing educational, cultural, and research infrastructure. He also commended the Governorate’s role in facilitating joint efforts and supporting collaborative projects.
During the meeting, the University President reviewed the University’s achievements across scientific, educational, and research fields, stressing that cooperation between the University and the Governorate represents a cornerstone for community development. He highlighted the University’s ongoing efforts to launch initiatives and projects that contribute to advancing the local community in line with the State’s strategic direction to support education and scientific research, link outcomes to the labor market, and meet societal needs.
For his part, Major General Amr El-Gharib, Governor of Menoufia, expressed his appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cooperation with Menoufia University, supporting its academic and community activities in a way that contributes to achieving sustainable development goals and benefits both citizens and students.
He also stressed the importance of coordinated efforts between the University and the Governorate, exchanging expertise in education, scientific research, and community development to ensure optimal utilization of available resources and achieve integration between the academic sector and the Governorate’s executive institutions.
