Under the patronage of Prof. Ahmed Farag El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, the University’s team was crowned champion of the Government Institutions League after securing a well-deserved 4–0 victory over the North Post team in the final match, held at the covered hall of the University Stadium. The event was held under the general supervision of Ms. Soaad Bayoumi, Secretary General of the University.
Prof. El-Kased expressed his pride in this distinguished athletic achievement, affirming the University’s commitment to supporting sports activities alongside the educational process, given their vital role in fostering teamwork and cooperation among students and staff. He praised the team’s outstanding performance throughout the البطولة and wished them continued success in the upcoming National Championship.
He noted that this victory is the result of an integrated work system and continuous support for sports activities within the University, contributing to the preparation of teams capable of achieving accomplishments and representing the University in various competitions.
The final match witnessed a strong performance by the University team, which dominated the game from the opening moments and concluded with a clean four-goal victory. The goals were scored by Islam Hamdy, Hamada Khalifa, Omar Sabry, and Ahmed Salah, amid remarkable performance and high team spirit from all players.
The team had advanced to the final after achieving a series of victories over the Youth and Sports team, North Post, and South Post, earning the Governorate title with merit and distinction.
The squad included: Ibrahim Saad, Mohamed Rashad, Omar Sabry, Mohamed Shalaby, Ahmed Salah, Amr Saqr, Atwa Mostafa, Hamada Khalifa, Ali Ghoniem, Islam Hamdy, and Abdel Fattah El-Farmawy. The players celebrated by lifting the championship trophy in an atmosphere of joy following this achievement.
With this victory, Menoufia University’s team qualifies to represent the Governorate in the National Government Institutions Championship.
Additionally, the University’s table tennis team secured first place in the Government Institutions Championship, continuing the University’s record of distinguished achievements across various sports activities.
