Prof. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University and Acting President of Menoufia National University, attended the meeting convened by Prof. Abdelaziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with a number of presidents of national universities established by public universities. The meeting aimed to follow up on the regularity of the educational process during the second semester, in the presence of senior Ministry officials, and was held at the Private Education Building in New Cairo.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased stated that at the outset of the meeting, the Minister reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to implementing the directives of the political leadership to enhance the quality of university education in Egypt. Attendees commended the continued support provided to universities within the framework of the State’s vision to expand the higher education and scientific research system in pursuit of sustainable development goals.
He added that the Minister emphasized the importance of expanding international partnerships, advancing digital transformation, and strengthening integration with the industrial sector. The Minister also highlighted the need to adopt a comprehensive marketing policy to promote Egyptian universities regionally and internationally, in line with the State’s vision of positioning Egypt as a leading educational destination in the Middle East and the African continent.
The meeting further discussed mechanisms to strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem at national universities, encourage international publication in leading scientific journals, and align scientific research with the objectives of the National Strategy for Higher Education in accordance with Egypt Vision 2030. Emphasis was also placed on qualifying students to meet labor market requirements through the modern academic programs offered by national universities.
Prof. Ahmed El-Kased affirmed that Menoufia National University represents a qualitative addition to the higher education system. The University was established in implementation of the directives of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to expand the establishment of national universities, with the aim of offering modern academic programs. He underscored the University’s commitment to providing an advanced educational environment based on the latest technological systems, in addition to strengthening international partnerships.
He further confirmed the regularity of studies at Menoufia National University since the launch of the second semester. The University comprises ten faculties offering seventeen diverse academic programs. He noted the full readiness of lecture halls and laboratories, the smooth operation of academic schedules without obstacles, and the application of the latest teaching and assessment methods. The University continues to provide comprehensive academic and administrative support to students, with ongoing monitoring to ensure the quality of the educational process.
