Dr. Ahmed El-Kased, President of Menoufia University, announced that the QS Sustainability Ranking for 2025 showed the inclusion of Menoufia University for the first time, as it ranked 10th in Egypt out of 26 Egyptian universities that appeared in the ranking, 14th in North African universities out of 41 universities, and 30th in Africa, as 70 African universities appeared in the ranking. Menoufia University came in the category of 1021-1040 globally out of a total of 1744 international universities that appeared in the ranking.
Dr. Ahmed El-Kased stressed that the inclusion of Menoufia University in the QS World University Rankings 2025 reflects the extent of improving academic and research performance and developing educational programs, which contributes to enhancing the university's position and increasing opportunities for international cooperation, as the QS ranking is considered one of the best global rankings for universities. It is one of the 3 most important global rankings for universities, issued by the British Quacquarellu Symonds Foundation, which specializes in the field of education. This is also considered an important step in the university's path towards academic and research excellence at the international level. Dr. Ahmed El-Kased also stressed that the university has witnessed remarkable development over the past years, keeping pace with the developments that have occurred in the higher education and scientific research strategy and Egypt's Vision 2030, and the interest of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic, in developing the higher education system, as Menoufia University has witnessed a large number of students wishing to join it, due to the development and modernity of study at the university, and its keeping pace with the changes that occur in educational methods and systems in international universities. Therefore, the university is always keen to provide the best curricula for its students, according to international standards, and to provide strong postgraduate programs that support scientific research, in addition to using the latest educational technologies such as e-learning and artificial intelligence, supporting innovation and entrepreneurship projects, and continuous work to raise the university's ranking in all international classifications. The university president expressed his happiness with what the university has achieved on the global rankings map, which will witness remarkable progress in the coming period, thanking Dr. Sobhi Sharaf, Vice President of the University for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, Dr. Nahed Ghoneim, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Coordinator of Menoufia University in the QS for Sustainability ranking, and the members of the work team and all those who contributed to achieving this achievement.
Dr. Hatem Mohamed, Dean of the Faculty of Computers and Information and Supervisor of the Center for Information Systems and Digital Transformation at the University, explained that the QS Sustainability ranking of the university was based on the Environmental Impact as well as the Social Impact and Equality and academic reputation, the ratio of faculty to students, and the rate of international students, and work is underway to achieve all standards at the level of all rankings, increase the number of research published in international scientific journals, encourage research cooperation with international universities and research institutions, in addition to working to provide a supportive research environment through advanced research laboratories and facilities.
